The All New Kgotla Extravagance at the Indaba Hotel

I had the great opportunity of going to the launch of Indaba Hotels Kgotla conference room. Conveniently situated in the heart of Fourways, the Indaba Hotel promises a truly African experience. With the launch of their new section, they are now the place to be for any occasion from business to pleasure. The night was beautiful and the soon to be spring evening weather definitely allowed us to party up a storm and the launch was nothing short of amazing.

The night was introduced by an amazing floating disco ball that dazzled at the entrance of the conference hall, a clear indication of the amount of fun that was yet to come. We were welcomed by a live band that blew everyone away. With amazing refreshments that consisted of non-alcoholic green tea ice tea and mojitos, the welcome drinks were paired with what was clearly fresh out the water oysters and butter prawns.

When it was time to introduce the new hall we were welcomed by the one and only Lucky Du Plessis, who killed the crowd with his funny childhood jokes and was followed by the amazing Larry Soffer who’s a mentalist and illusionist. Mr Soffer wowed the crowd with his ability to read people’s minds. As part of the entertainment, we were blessed by the sweet sounds of a local band that performed cover songs of what was clearly almost everyone’s favourite golden oldies and hit songs from the ’90s that had the crowd singing along and people on their feet. The event was accompanied by a drawer were the lucky winners won prizes that amount to over R300 000 sponsored by the Indaba Hotel offering them complimentary night and weekend stays with spa treatments and within the prizes it included free deco sponsored by the hotel for the conference room and free staff assistance for the winners who book the conference hall.

The event had unlimited open bars with Gin, wine, whiskey and sparkling wine and prosecco. With three centre tables that were filled with gourmet foods and dessert, guests were kept well fed and hydrated. From meats and seafood to cheese and fruit platters to delicious chocolate decadence and meringue excellence I experienced the night with the lovely Nasiphi who’s one of Luxuria ZA’s influencer. With the right food, music, drinks and conversation it was the perfect night to meet new people and make new friends.

The night gets a 10/10 from me. Good food, good music and the right company definitely the perfect way to introduce a high-class conference hall.
