Epara – bespoke skincare for women of colour

Africa is known as a continent of beautiful wonders amazing places with enchanting culture and colourful people. It is also the cradle of mankind therefore it’s no surprise it is the source of the ingredients that formulate the world’s first luxury skincare product for women of colour. Epara, which means to cocoon was first introduced to the world at Harrods, the luxury store in London. Now every lady with melanin can being treated to an amazing product designed specifically them.
Epara is available at Alara Luxury Concept store in Lagos Nigeria and was recently launched at Designing Africa Collective, a fashion store that stocks top African designers and is situated at Nairobi’s Village Market mall. It is also available at leading cosmetics outlets including Lintons Beauty Spa’s chain of stores across the region.
Founded by Adoh Ozohu, a Nigerian based in the United Kingdom, it includes ten products that cater for every skin type.
Epara uses natural ingredients sourced primarily from Africa including Moringa from Kenya. It solves issues ranging from hyper pigmentation to dryness caused by climate, hormonal changes and radicals in the air as well as trauma to the skin through injury and bruising.
The cleansing lotion is silky smooth and softens and moisturises the skin while removing make-up and impurities. Plant extracts and botanical brighteners target imperfections and even skin tone, leaving skin nourished. In the heat of Africa the refreshing mist is light and provides instant, long-lasting hydration. Its natural, active ingredients reconstruct the skin’s natural barrier in order to combat dryness, imperfections and hyper-pigmentation. According to Ozohu, your skin will be left softer and smoother after only two weeks of treatment.
Targeted at the upwardly mobile woman Epara has been packaged to the highest standards and was recently nominated for Vogue Magazine’s 2018 beauty awards in the ‘New Kid on The Block category.
The range includes a smooth body cream, a moisturizer, cleanser, hydrating mask, mist and highly effective serums.
